Wash the weather away
The fall and winter weather can wreak havoc on your vehicle's exterior with rain, mud, snow, sleet and salt breaking down its delicate finish. Washing your car regularly can help you protect your vehicle from the harsh elements. When you follow these basic car care tips, you'll extend the life of your vehicle's appearance and feel great driving a clean car.
- Wash your car every 10 days, and especially after it rains or snows.
- Wax your car every six months. More frequent waxes are needed if your car is red, black or white because these colors are more susceptible to acid rain and UV rays.
- If you have your car professionally cleaned, go to a car wash that is well-managed, has clean facilities and uses well-maintained equipment.
