Antifreeze has hidden benefits

One of the most important things you can do to protect your car this winter is to change the antifreeze. Antifreeze protects the automobile cooling system by increasing the boiling point and lowering the freeze level.

If you haven't changed your car's antifreeze in the past two years, your car isn't getting the protection it may need. Even though the freeze level may be unaffected, the amount of protective additives that guards against corrosion, seals the cooling system, and lubricates the water pump may be reduced.
